Bobbi Kristina lawsuit accuses Nick Gordon of giving her a “toxic cocktail”
The conservator of Bobbi Kristina’s estate has spoken out against Nick Gordon for the first time, saying she believes it was a “toxic cocktail” supplied by Gordon that was directly responsible for Bobbi Kristina’s fate. That cocktail–along with Gordon’s overall behavior–are the reasons for the ongoing Bobbi Kristina lawsuit, which seeks $10 million in damages.
In a statement she gave to People magazine, conservator Bedelia C. Hargrove offered her sympathies to Bobbi Kristina’s suffering family, before explaining the reasons why she has amended the Bobbi Kristina lawsuit in order to better reflect what she believes is new evidence against Nick Gordon:
I am deeply saddened by the recent death of Bobbi Kristina Brown. I extend my sincerest condolences to all of her family. Consistent with and to the letter of the civil action I initially filed on behalf of Bobbi Kristina, we will continue to pursue justice for her. I have filed today an amended complaint against Nicholas Gordon adding a count for wrongful death and for pain and suffering. We will leave no stone unturned in seeking justice for Bobbi Kristina Brown.
According to the details of the Bobbi Kristina lawsuit, the 22-year-old’s final night before slipping into a coma was tense, full of drama and fighting. Bobbi Kristina and Gordon “became embroiled in a loud argument” in BK’s master bedroom, at which point “[Gordon] screamed at Bobbi Kristina accusing her of cheating, going so far as to call her a ‘whore,’ a ‘b*tch,’ and other names. The argument lasted for about thirty minutes and then everything abruptly became quiet.”
At that point, the Bobbi Kristina lawsuit claims that Gordon fed BK a “toxic cocktail” in order to render her unconscious. He then put her face down into a bathtub full of cold water, changed clothes, and left.
One further new detail has also come to light: according to the Bobbi Kristina lawsuit, Gordon paused before leaving the townhouse, in order to “[lay] his head on female guest’s ankle and [state], “Now I want a pretty little white girl like you.”
Gordon has already been served with the legal papers, and has assembled a legal team. The highest-profile of Gordon’s lawyers is Jose Baez, best-known for winning Casey Anthony’s acquittal on murder charges in 2011.
A date for the civil trial has yet to be set.
