Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger have wed — for real this time! The Here’s To Never Growing Up singer and her Nickelback beau said their I do’s on Monday, July 1, in the South of France in front of 50 guests. In true rock ‘n’ roll fashion, Mr. & Mrs. Kroeger held a dinner party and wild reception after the ceremony that lasted until the wee hours (or should that be oui hours?) of the morning.
“Yes, they’re married,” an insider confirms to Us Weekly. “It was a wild, all-night party with drinking, dancing, incredible food and lots of laughter and tears of happiness,” a second source adds.

The wedding, which took place at the Chateau La Napoule in Mandelieu, France, outside of Cannes, was topped off with an amazing fireworks display just before midnight. “Avril and Chad had glasses of wine in their hands and were kissing as fireworks popped overhead and sparkled down,” one reveler says. “It was a magical moment and everyone was overwhelmed!”
The couple’s reception tracks included several hits including “Sweet Home Alabama” and Bruno Mars’ “Marry You,” and kept their guests partying hard until 6:00 am on Tuesday morning.
Days before their ceremony, Avril and Chad threw another huge bash which was at first mistaken for the pair’s actual wedding but later revealed to be a pre-wedding celebration.
While marrying on a Monday seems a bit odd, Avril and Chad chose the date for a very special reason — it’s the date that their relationship began. ”We think it’s very cool that our anniversary will always be on Canada Day,” Chad explained to People. “We can’t wait to start our life together.”
