Aviva Drescher pens memoir ‘Leggy Blonde’ – book cover and details

Aviva Drescher Leggy Blonde book cover

The Real Housewives of New York City‘s Aviva Drescher is joining the ranks of Bravolebrities taking a stab at being an author with her memoir titled Leggy Blonde, due to hit shelves February 25, 2014. As you were probably able to surmise, the title is a humorous reference to the life-changing childhood farm accident that caused Aviva to lose her leg, and I’m sure the incident and the after effects will play a major part in the book.

But, as Aviva has said in the past, “Being an amputee was not, and has never been, a dominating factor in my life,” and the book will cover all aspects of her life. “My wackadoo childhood, marriage and divorce, family addiction, lawsuits, and more,” she tells The Dish of what readers can expect. “It’s all out there! Lots of revelations that are unseen on RHONY. It was very cathartic to write my own story. A very spiritual experience which allowed me to go back into the past and surprise myself!”

Here are the details on the book and Aviva from the publisher:

Aviva Drescher, the REAL Housewife of New York City, born and bred in Manhattan, shares her REAL story in this tell-all memoir.

Aviva Drescher is elegant, sophisticated, well educated, and drop-dead gorgeous. And although we all know her as the newest upstart from the Real Housewives reality show, there is much more to her than meets the eye. While Aviva is no stranger to controversy, the person beneath the persona is a woman of substance with a fascinating past that is told for the first time in this smart, funny, and beautifully written memoir. Aviva Drescher is far more than just a Leggy Blonde.
