AUDIO Gary Shirley tries to cover up another Amber attack in phone call with girlfriend Ashley

Teen Mom's Gary Shirley

In yet another reminder that Hollywood’s best screenwriters can’t possibly compete with the entertaining twists and turns of “unscripted” reality television, an audio recording has surfaced of a phone conversation between Teen Mom‘s Gary Shirley and his new girlfriend Ashley in which he tries to talk her into covering up an incident that occurred between him and baby mama Amber Portwood the day before.

The audio recording was made on December 15 and during the conversation Gary references yet another Amber Portwood attack that occurred December 14, 2010. Ashley must be annoyed from all the questions about the incident from the media and Gary offers up this explanation and advice:

Well you know why is because the reason why they don’t leave you alone is because you don’t say, “no comment,” you say “I was over there and it didn’t happen.” If you say “no comment, no comment, no comment” every time they leave you alone.

Someone else is in the room with Gary Shirley and Gary talks to him during the conversation, saying, “She [Ashley] wasn’t here when she [Amber] f***ing hit me. She was out in the f***ing car. It happened in here. She doesn’t -”

Here is the audio recording of the phone call followed by a transcript of the conversation:

GARY: Well you know why is because the reason why they don’t leave you alone is because you don’t say, “no comment,” you say “I was over there and it didn’t happen.” If you say “no comment, no comment, no comment” every time they leave you alone.

(Aside to friend) She’s [bleep] not going to say anything about you.

GARY’S FRIEND: Why would she say – why did you look at me?

GARY: She wasn’t here when she f***ing hit me. She was out in the f***ing car. It happened in here. She doesn’t –

(talking on the phone again) What? I know. Just keep on saying, don’t ever say that, say “no comment.”

GARY’S FRIEND: I didn’t – I didn’t say sh*t.

GARY: Just say “no comment!”

That or that, just don’t respond or say “no comment” and they will leave you alone.” If you don’t know the number don’t answer it. If you don’t know the number don’t text it back. Or you can say “no comment.” You’ve got two options.

Right, but – yeah. So, you know, I’m just helping you out because they will leave you alone and in return you’re helping me out and then one day maybe me and you could start a family.

[Gary’s friend laughs and it sounds as though they exchange a high five]
