Are Shahs of Sunset rich? What is the net worth of the Shahs of Sunset cast? And how do the Shahs of Sunset cast members make their money? Cash is often on the minds of Shahs viewers, given the fast-paced lifestyles and ambitious career goals of the show’s always-hustling cast. Theirs is a pretty solidly American story, in that most of the cast members started with very little, but all have worked their way up to great prominence, tremendous success–and big bucks!
Asa Soltan Rahmati’s alleged net worth fluctuates wildly, and seems to be quite a bit lower than those of the rest of the show’s cast. Part of the reason for that is Asa is the only member of the Shahs of Sunset cast not involved in the real estate business; because she’s an artist and musician, she what looks like a much more variable net worth. Estimates range from $50,000 to $250,000 to around $3 million.
When Asa has dipped her toe into the business pool, the results have sometimes been mixed: perhaps her most famous attempt at a product was Diamond Water, or water filtered through diamonds before bottling, which did meet with some ridicule. However, numerous sites have reported that Asa pulled in about $100,000 for each of Shahs‘ first two seasons; the figure has reportedly gone up since then.
Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi, by contrast, has an apparent eight-figure fortune to control. Estimates of her net worth bottom out at around $10 million, and some range as high as $12. Part of the reason the figure is so high? GG comes from great wealth: her father, Mahmoud Gharachedaghi, is a prominent architect whose own net worth has been estimated at around $25 million dollars. (Shahs devoteés will recall GG bragging, during the first couple of seasons, that she received a $7,000 monthly allowance from her dad, and that the only paycheck she needed came from him.)
Of course, it is worth pointing out that GG has done pretty well for herself. Her base pay for Shahs of Sunset was $150,000 per season a couple of years ago, so that figure has also increased. Likewise, the line of GG-brand hair extensions that she created with sister Leila has met with consistent success.
Mercdes Javid is no stranger to the real estate grind; she and Reza Farahan are two of Keller Williams’ best-known agents, and Mercedes has been one of Tehrangeles’ most prominent real estate agents since Shahs of Sunset‘s debut. (Though, again, the show’s popularity can’t hurt business!) It’s because of her dedication to work that Mercedes is worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $4 million to $5 million–not bad for a woman who graduated with a degree in English in 2002. (It might be worth noting that Million Dollar Listing‘s Ryan Serhant also got a BA in English, and is also a multimillionaire real estate agent. Maybe an English degree is great training for this very specific job?)
Mike Shouhed, like Asa, has a net worth that appears to be in some dispute–many sources claim he’s worth around $2 million dollars; others argue that the figure is much higher, and Mike Shouhed’s net worth is about $8 million. Though neither of those figures is anything to sneeze at, Mike has certainly seen worse: he was a prominent Las Vegas-area real estate developer in 2008 when the market completely bottomed out and he lost everything. It was Mike’s return to Los Angeles following that heartbreak, however, that led to his current cushy life on Shahs of Sunset.
Beyond television and real estate, Mike has a partnership with skin care producer Nerium International.
Reza Farahan is arguably Keller Williams’ best-known real estate agent; similarly, he has a reputation as one of their most hard-working. In fact, Reza originally turned down an offer to appear on Shahs of Sunset, because he was worried about stereotyping; it was only after thinking about how he could change perceptions of both Iranian-Americans and gay men with an appearance on the show that Reza changed his mind.
Though he was already a successful man, Shahs of Sunset has doubtless helped Reza’s profile: his net worth is reportedly around $7 million dollars. (It’s also rumored that Reza is the highest-paid Shahs of Sunset cast member, though those rumors remain unsubstantiated.)
Shervin Roohparvar, the newest member of the Shahs of Sunset main cast, set out to be a surgeon earlier in life, before study and contemplation led him to take his talents businesswise. It appears as though he’s had some success in that arena–Silicon Valley Compucycle, his electronics business, looks to be doing well, and “AlphaSherv” aims to open a “high-end fashion boutique” and / or “start a clothing brand,” if his time on Shahs pans out.
So, while Shervin’s exact worth isn’t yet known, it’s true that the man is becoming a social media dynamo: in just a few months, he’s accrued nearly 200,000 followers across his three platforms. And, as the Kardashians have taught us, visibility equals big bucks: the more followers you’ve got, the more you can command for product placements.
As for the engine driving these particular economies: Shahs of Sunset airs Sunday nights at 8 PM on Bravo.
