Mama June is back on reality TV with her WE tv series Mama June: From Not to Hot and she’s itching to marry to her new man Geno Doak. Does Geno share June’s marital dreams?
When Mama June was with Sugar Bear, she was never that keen on getting married. Right before the dissolve of their relationship they did have a commitment ceremony where Mama June wore a camo dress, but now she wants to wear a traditional white wedding dress for a real wedding.
In a preview clip for the series’ season two premiere, Mama and Geno are in a dress shop to pick up a pageant dress for a mother/daughter pageant June and Alana (Honey Boo Boo) are participating in together. While she waits, her eyes catch all the white wedding dresses.
“This could be us,” she says. Geno replies, “You better stay away from the dresses, you might be blinded by all that white.”
In interview Mama June reveals that she’s been dreaming about wedding dresses, which is a first for her. When June confronts Geno about getting married he jokes “If you insisted on getting married, I feel we’re close enough I could walk and give you away.”
Meanwhile, June’s daughter Pumpkin and her boyfriend Josh are dealing with being first-time parents to baby Ella-Grace. Later on the season June’s wedding fever gets so severe (or motivated by reality show cameras) that she almost interrupted Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and Josh’s wedding to propose to Geno.
