Is Taylor Swift’s “Dear John” about a one-night stand with John Mayer?

Taylor Swift, the 20-year-old queen of emo-country revenge songs, may have unleashed one of ditties John Mayer, who she was rumored to have had a one-night stand with the Hollywood Ladies ‘ Man.

The two crooners collaborated on-stage last December, and they were rumored to have followed it up with a One Night Only Show in the bed-room in January when Taylor accompanied John to dinner, and then back to his hotel room.

A source told In Touch that when asked by a friend how the night with Taylor went, John laughed and replied “How do you think it went?” Sounds like the classic wine-dine-hotel-never-call-the-girl-again maneuver. And Taylor might not be so cool with the deal. As she’s said herself many times, her songs are not meant to be difficult to decipher.

Here are the lyrics for “Dear John”:

“Dear John
I see it all now that you’re gone
Don’t you think I was too young
To be messed with
The girl in the dress
Cried the whole way home
I should’ve known.
It was wrong
Don’t you think nineteen’s too young
To be played
By your dark, twisted games
When I loved you so.
My mother accused me of losing my mind But I swore I was fine You’ll add my name to your long list of traitors Who don’t understand And I’ll look back in regret I ignored what they said ‘Run as fast as you can.” NEW YORK - DECEMBER 11: John Mayer and Taylor Swift perform onstage during Z100's Jingle Ball 2009 at Madison Square Garden on December 11, 2009 in New York City.
