Bobbi Kristina Update: Bobby Brown blames Nick Gordon directly, says ‘We know who harmed Bobbi Kristina’

Bobby Brown has made his first public statement regarding the ongoing legal proceedings against Nick Gordon, and it’s a doozy: Brown calls Gordon’s lawsuit frivolous, implies cowardice on Gordon’s part, and suggests that the harm Gordon did to Bobbi Kristina was directly responsible for her death.

Brown’s lawyer, Christopher Brown, issued a lengthy Bobbi Kristina update on behalf of his client late Monday evening. In it, Brown challenges Nick Gordon to clear his own name while suggesting strongly that the Browns and Houstons expect formal charges to be filed in the Bobbi Kristina death case.

“In regards to the civil litigation,” Brown began, “we believe we know who harmed Bobbi Kristina Brown and his name is Nick Gordon. Mr. Gordon made headlines when he filed his Motion to Dismiss the lawsuit pending in Superior Court that seeks to hold him responsible for 40 million dollars in damages.”

(The $40 million figure was a surprise to many onlookers, as the most-often reported figure in the Nick Gordon-Bobbi Kristina civil lawsuit has been $10 million. $40 million was originally reported, but it appeared that the figure was an error. Now, it would seem, the larger amount was correct.)

The Bobbi Kristina update continued:

However, the Motion was frivolous and instead of having it heard by the Court, he has chosen to withdraw the Motion, ending that matter so that he could avoid having to give his deposition which was scheduled for the day he withdrew the Motion. Mr. Gordon will now have to give his deposition under oath. I am not shocked at the withdrawal, as we must keep in mind that Gordon filed a lawsuit to remove Bobby Brown as Bobbi Kristina’s guardian, only to withdraw that lawsuit in DeKalb County Probate Court once he was served with a deposition notice. He could have pressed forward with that lawsuit and told us under oath what he believed happened to Bobbi Kristina, but he chose to go in another direction.

The Browns continue to press a civil case against Nick Gordon, at the same time that detectives are building the criminal case against him. Gordon is the prime–and, allegedly, sole–suspect in the Fulton County Police Department’s investigations, which was aided recently by Gordon’s own admission that there are video cameras on Bobbi Kristina’s property. Those cameras are believed to have been filming on the night Bobbi and Gordon had the fight that the Browns allege led to Bobbi Kristina’s coma.

Brown added the following to his official statement: “I look forward to having the Court hear the evidence in the civil lawsuit and hopefully the criminal action very soon.”
