Since it was revealed that Josh Duggar molested five girls as a teenager and then cheated on wife Anna Duggar throughout their marriage, we’ve only heard from the former 19 Kids and Counting star in a couple of small, highly edited statements. That may be because the rest of the family knows Josh would do a horrible job of speaking for himself…
“[He has] no remorse,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “He is not the person everyone thought they knew.”
Although Josh’s parents and siblings fiercely defended him after his “teenage mistakes” were disclosed, they’ve come down more harshly on him after learning he cheated on Anna. Speaking to People this week, newlywed cousin Amy King said, “We’re still shocked and furious to the extreme.” The insider also told ET the Duggars wouldn’t be surprised if multiple mistresses came forward because Josh traveled for work “all of the time.”
“Anna didn’t check up on Josh because she trusted him,” the source says. “When she found out about the cheating, she just cried.”
Even more disturbingly, the source said Josh “joked” about molesting the young women when he was a teenager when that news was first reported earlier this year. The Duggar family says Josh is now at a long-term treatment center for help with his issues.
