Anna Benson sent to rehab treatment after dramatic Dr. Phil interview
Anna Benson agreed to go to Origins Recovery Center in Texas after a dramatic and emotional interview with Dr. Phil. Anna is a cast member of Baseball Wives, a former stripper, and the ex wife of Major League pitcher Kris Benson. She’s currently serving 15 years probation after threatening Kris with a gun while wearing a bullet proof vest this July. She also had a knife, hatchet, ammo belt (a repurposed Dolce & Gabbana belt,) taser and a metal baton. He says was able to get away from Anna to call 911 by telling her he was going to get a lighter. Police found her on the back porch smoking.
During the interview with Dr. Phil explained that she always wears a bullet proof vest because she constantly fears for her life because she knows too much about money in overseas accounts. She says she also has security cameras outside her house, and had all those weapons on her because she was interested in starting a weapons line and was on her way to a gun and knife show.
“I had been taking care of the kids, I was tired, I had not slept much, I did not have much money left,” she explained. “I wanted to leave town, so I left the children with my friend and Kris was supposed to be on his way to pick the kids up at my apartment. On my way out of town I thought, ‘You know what? I want to get my milk.’ When I pulled into the neighborhood, he pulled in right behind me.”
Although the exact reason why she was seeking treatment was not given, Anna said during the interview that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 11 years ago. Her daughter told Dr. Phil that she suspected her mother may be exhibiting symptoms of schizophrenia, and Anna quickly countered that she saw symptoms of borderline personality disorder in her daughter. Her daughter also accused her of binging on and abusing Adderall.
