Earlier this morning, thousands of Beyonce fans were crushed to learn their queen is, indeed, human. It all began when fan-page The Beyonce World published 200+ allegedly unaltered Beyonce pictures from 2013 campaigns.
The stills were from two L’Oreal commercials, which featured Beyonce looking flawless. I mean, check out where the video is paused below… Does that really look like a person’s chin? Even with the best of makeup and skin, I don’t think anyone can look like that.
Citing “the disdain of the BeyHive,” Beyonce World took the photos down hours later. They added, “Some of the things we have seen posted were just horrible, and we don’t want any parts of it. We were just posting the photos to share the fact that our queen is naturally beautiful, at the same time she is just a regular woman.”
But there was no taking back the pictures, which had already begun spreading around the Internet. Although some of the resulting comments on social media were pretty harsh and largely negative, I happen to think it’s refreshing to get occasional reminders that celebrities are just like us.
