Aaron Paul says Barbie dolls are worse than the Breaking Bad toys
Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul is breaking mad about Toys ‘R’ Us’ decision to pull the vaguely controversial Breaking Bad toy figures from its shelves. Once the petition begun by a Florida mother gained 9,000 signatures–or about as many people as die from food poisoning every year in America–the gloves were off.
Paul took to Twitter to vent his frustration:
Wait, so @ToysRUs pulled all of the Breaking Bad figures from their shelves and still sells Barbie? Hmmmm…I wonder what is more damaging?

And what about all of the violent video games you sell @ToysRUs ? Do you still sell those? Florida mom really messed it up for everyone.

Here’s the petition to sign to keep the toys on the shelves! This would be so fun to show the Florida mom. YeahBitch https://t.co/8iEFsLBCIn

Paul maybe goes a bit too far (though only half seriously) by trying to get the President involved, but it’s hard not to see his point. Toys ‘R’ Us sells plenty of toys and games that simulate violence, and Barbie dolls do untold damage to girls’ perceptions of themselves, of body image, and of the “right” way to look.
Plus, the Breaking Bad toys were in the adult-oriented part of the store…
What do you, the viewers at home, think? Is Paul right to take the store and the unnamed Florida Mom to task? Did he overreact? Or under?
