For more biographical info on the reclusive Elin, see our previous post detailing her life story.
If the narrative that has been pieced together about what happened at the Woods’ Windermere home Thanksgiving night and early the next morning is accurate – which basically suggests Elin found out about one or more of Tiger’s transgressions and she proceeded to beat him up with a golf club and then chase him out of the house and down the road, bashing in the window of his SUV along the way – then Elin truly has my sympathies. It seems as though she was suckered just like the rest of us into believing the sparkling image of Tiger Woods the man presented to us through the media and his numerous endorsements.
Now, the normally very private Elin is the mother of two children under the age of six who has to deal with the multiple infidelities of her husband in front of an unrelenting media that includes photographers, writers and television cameras. I don’t blame the media (like starcasm!) for the attention, but I just can’t imagine how she is going to get through this ordeal. Add on top of all this the psychological burden of a prenuptial agreement that is rumored to pay her $5 million for each additional year she stays with Tiger… Ugh. I sorta hope she’s able to somehow sneak out of the country with her children and raise her two children in relative anonymity in some small Swedish village. Meanwhile, Tiger stays here and continues to be a humor goldmine as his tail tally surpasses that of Wilt Chamberlain!
One more for good measure:
Oh Tiger, Tiger, Tiger…
