For months, the state of Miley Cyrus’ left ring finger was of great interest to gossip hounds. Now that her diamond engagement ring from Liam Hemsworth is officially off, we’re left with a whole new question: What will happen to the $100,000 stunner?
According to Radar Online, Liam told Miley to keep the vintage 3.5 carat diamond ring “as a memento of their love affair.”
“When Liam bought that ring, he truly believed he would be spending the rest of his life with her,” said an inside source. “Now he realizes they are both just too young to be ready for such a big commitment.”
Although that report makes it seem that Liam has taken the high road, other sources say that he was to blame for the relationship’s demise. As recently as last week, sources said Liam sent explicit text messages to his rumored flame, January Jones. Liam’s rep denied the story.
Since pulling the plug on their three-year relationship, Liam has been photographed out with Eiza González, a gorgeous Mexican singer and actress. Miley has been laying lower while preparing for the release of her new album, Bangerz.
