Angry Nicki Minaj deletes her Twitter account

The world of Barbzdom is up in arms after their icon Nicki Minaj deleted her Twitter account Sunday. The singer pulled her account following a dispute with fans over blocking website NickiDaily.com for allegedly posting leaked tracks. The “leaked tracks” were reportedly just snippets from Minaj’s new album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded that were available on iTunes, but that was enough for Minaj to block their Twitter account and begin the Twitter maelstrom that wrapped up with these two tweets:

It’s an amazing turn of events for a young artist who built up a great relationship with her fans using the microblogging site. There has been no official word from Minaj’s camp on how long it will be before the rapper returns to Twitter, or if she plans to return at all.
