VIDEO Tori Spelling says dad Aaron Spelling ‘wouldn’t have wanted’ her to rein in spending
In real-time, Tori Spelling is believed to still be in the hospital. She was initially quarantined because of suspected enterovirus, but sources now say she worked herself into a serious illness during a nervous breakdown. Viewers got a glimpse of what it looks like for Tori to have a breakdown when she commiserated about the family’s financial situation on a new episode of True Tori.
“I just feel responsible for so many people, and I can’t do it. The responsibility of having to take care of so many people financially. And the fear of that? It doesn’t matter. People, they look at me, and they’re like, ‘Oh, poor you,’” she mimicked sarcastically. “Like, ‘Boo hoo. You have so many problems.'”
Tori, who is reportedly earning $50,000 for the second season of True Tori, continued to say the family is living paycheck to paycheck and that she’s constantly stressed about what work will come in next.
“Look at the life we’re leading,” she said between tears. “We pay for five f**king private schools.”
Dean tried to reassure her by saying they can change their lifestyle and “get rid of all that stuff.” But Tori wasn’t having any of it…
“Why should we have to? My dad wouldn’t have wanted this. I’m just so mad. He worked so f**king hard,” Tori said of the late Aaron Spelling. “These kids. I don’t want to have to struggle. I don’t want to change our lifestyle. That’s why I work so hard. I don’t want to change.”
Tori’s problem with how much Aaron left her in his will has been a point of contention between Tori and mom Candy Spelling ever since Aaron died in 2006. Both Tori and her brother received $800,000, while Candy maintained the vast amount of the Spellings’ estimated $500 million fortune.
Tori admitted her estate money was gone last year because of a difficult fourth pregnancy, several real estate purchases and her shopping habit.
“Even when I try to embrace a simpler lifestyle, I can’t seem to let go of my expensive tastes,” she told Daily Mail last year. “And then there’s my shopping problem. I’ve bought ridiculous amounts of stuff for the kids, clothing, toys, crafts.”
