VIDEO Street Outlaws’ Daddy Dave crashes car Goliath at drag raceway, seriously injured

Street Outlaws Daddy Dave Comstock car Goliath crashed

“Daddy Dave” Comstock, one of the stars of Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaws reality series, was seriously injured after crashing his nitrous-fed Chevy II hot rod known as “Goliath” at Amarillo Dragway in Texas on Saturday night.

In this terrifying video of the accident, you can see Dave lose control of Goliath, which slams into the wall before launching into the air and going through multiple, very rapid barrel rolls:

Dave’s wife, Cassi Comstock, updated Facebook fans on Dave’s condition early Sunday morning:

First I need to thank all of you for your prayers! They have done X-rays and scans, we are just waiting for the results. He is in a lot of pain, pretty banged up and a serious concussion. He is talking but doesn’t remember anything or even where he is. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and I will do my best to keep y’all updated! ~Cassi

On Saturday, before the event, Daddy Dave uploaded this photo of his car and captioned it “Goliath is ready for some big tire action at tonight’s no prep!”

UPDATE – Cassi has provided another update on Dave’s condition:

Scan came back good. He has a serious concussion, a bruised lung, and plenty of bumps and bruises. Still doesn’t remember anything that happened. He is finally resting in his own room for at least the next 24 hours. We cannot thank everyone enough for the thoughts and prayers! I am thankful to have my husband alive! I’m sure he will be back, just need time to heal and go from there! ~Cassi

We’re so glad to hear Daddy Dave emerged from the accident alive, and we wish him a speedy recovery.

UPDATE – Daddy Dave was released from the hospital, but had to return later for tests. After that, he was released again, and he has since shared a photo visiting what was left of Goliath.
