VIDEO Republican nominee Carly Fiorina calls Senator Barbara Boxer’s hair “So yesterday”
California Republican Senate nominee Carly Fiorina was riding high a day after locking up the Republican nomination for California Senator when she learned one of the most valuable (and painful) lessons about being a public figure: NEVER assume a microphone isn’t on.
While getting makeup done prior to an appearance on Sacramento’s KXTV, Fiorina talked candidly about a number of things, including her Democratic opponent, incumbent Senator Barbara Boxer’s hair! “God, what is that hair?” she said while scrolling on her phone. “So yesterday.”
D’oh!
Fiorina also talked about Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman, questioning her decision to appear on Sean Hannity’s show the day after wrapping up her party’s primary.
“It’s really surprising that on the first day of the general [election], Meg Whitman is going on Sean Hannity,” Fiorina said. “I think it’s bizarre…I think it’s a very bad choice actually. You know how he is.”
Here is the full Monty with the entire conversation:
I’m not sure if Fiorina has already lost the election 24 hours in, but I’m sure this incident will get a lot of play. I consider myself to be a formidable political strategist so I’d like to offer my advice on how to turn things around for Carly Fiorina.
All it would take is some creative video and audio editing and she can capitalize on the immense popularity of Lindsay Lohan! Just swap a couple letters around and here’s Fiorina’s new political ad:
