VIDEO Kendall Jenner breaks down when Bruce Jenner tells her about transition
In an emotional new clip for Keeping Up the Kardashians: About Bruce, Kendall Jenner responds with tears when dad Bruce Jenner explains he identifies as a woman.
“He’s the most amazing person I know,” Kendall said after having some time to come to terms with the news. “I couldn’t ask for a better dad. He taught me how to ride a bike and be the tomboy that I am… He would drive us to school and he would be the first one in line to pick us up.”
We don’t see how Bruce explained his transition to Kendall, only when she excuses herself to get a tissue. I can only imagine she was dealing with a wide range of emotions — but it’s apparent she is supportive of her dad above all else.
“The whole transition was much harder for the Kardashian kids and Kylie and Kendall. It was hard to grasp. And there was a lot of lying to the kids over the years on Bruce’s part, even as close as they were,” a source told People after Bruce’s interview with Diane Sawyer. “It’s going to take some time for the kids to get used to it all. It’s been a process for everyone. Some of the kids are more comfortable than others.”
The day after the interview aired, Kendall offered a bit more insight into her feelings by sharing this Instagram picture…
She added, “I wrote this in 5th grade… Nothing has changed.”
Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce premieres on E! on Sunday, May 17 at 9/8c.
