Bill Murray joined a who’s who list of celebrities for the taping of the 2010 Scream Awards Saturday night in Hollywood. The awards show featuring cast reunions of Back To the Future and Lost is scheduled to air Tuesday night but we were able to find a brief but awesome clip of Murray in full costume as Dr. Peter Venkman from the 80’s classic Ghostbusters!
Spike TV has established a rep for pulling out all the stops during their annual awards show honoring the best in science fiction, fantasy, comics and horror. It has become one of the highlights on the annual awards show circuit. When you can get Murray to don the old suit and strut his stuff as the stoic Venkman on top of reuniting the cast for Back To the Future you are on a roll. The crowd really loses their collective minds with that appearance. Bill Murray sported the ghostbusting costume to accept the award for Best Horror Movie won by Zombieland in which the actor took a hilarious turn as himself (he also won Best Cameo for his appearance). Tune in Tuesday night for what promises to be one hell of an awards show. I ain’t afraid of no ghost!
