Travis Browne and Ronda Rousey tracked down and confronted the ‘punks’ who burglarized their home
This week Ronda Rousey revealed on Live With Kelly and Ryan, with Jerry O’Connell filling in for Ryan Seacrest, that her house had been burgled this April, right before she and her now-finance were jetting off to a romantic New Zealand getaway where he popped the question.
Before they left for the airport, they went to check on their Venice Beach house and found it completely ransacked. “Someone had been squatting in my house for, like, three days, sleeping in my bed, stole my Olympic rings, stole my guns, stole all my precious jewelry, every headphone in the house, credit cards,” she said.
“You don’t realize everything at first, then you’re like, ‘Where’s the headphones? Nope, all the headphones in my house are gone,'” Rousey said.
“They knew it was my house,” said Rousey. “There’s no way you can’t not know it’s my house. What little punks.”
The couple checked their security cameras and clearly that the saw the culprits, including the fact that they were carrying skateboards. He immediately tracked them down at a nearby skatepark and confronted them.
Luckily for Rousey, she and Browne, now her fiancé, were able to track down the culprits thanks to security footage that showed them holding skateboards. Rousey explained that she and Browne — all 6′ 7″ of him — headed across the street to a skate park and were able to find the pair right away.
“I was staring at them like, ‘You motherf**kers!’ You’re lucky that I have the [self-control] to not beat the dog sh*t out your ass!” Browne told TMZ about his confrontation. He didn’t actually hurt them, but he did notify some nearby cops right away.
Browne told MMA Fighting that while they haven’t gotten their stuff back, they do have some pretty solid evidence against the accused burglars. “She still has her medal,” he said. “It’s funny, that was one of the things that put the nail in the coffin because they picked up the medal, which was in a hard surface case, and actually touched the medal but then put it back in and put it away. It has all their fingerprints all over it, so it was one of the things that helped match. These guys were just being dipsh!ts.”
“I don’t know if they slept in our bed, but they slept in the guest bedroom. It is just weird. It is what it is. We’ve beefed up security now.”
TMZ also identified two of the suspects as 21-year-old Zhamila Bolat and 20-year-old Alim Young (pictured below from their Facebook profiles,) but oddly enough they haven’t been charged with the crime.
