On the premiere of Teen Mom: Young Moms Club, it is revealed that Alyssa Myers’ mom Christina has been diagnosed with brain cancer. In a series of emotional scenes, Alyssa plans for her wedding with fiance Brandon not knowing if her mother will still be around to see her daughter’s special day.

Unfortunately, Alyssa’s mom was not able to attend her daughter’s wedding as she passed away in October of 2017 at the young age of 44. Christina left behind her husband Lawrence, daughter Alyssa, son Elijah, and youngest daughter Italia.
Almost a full year would pass before Alyssa married Brandon in a beautiful ceremony on September 28, 2018.
Although Christina was not able to see Alyssa walk down the aisle, she did get to participate in a lot of the wedding preparations — including picking out the dress. Soon after her mom’s passing, Alyssa received her wedding dress and she posted a photo on Instagram along with a caption expressing her gratitude that her mother was there when she chose it:
I said Yes to the Dress! (Back in July) and my dress has arrived!! I️ am so happy that I️ got to share this moment with my mom, dad, and bridesmaids? Thinking back to the day I️ first put my dress on, I️ truly got the “this is the one” feeling and it was so special to have my mom be a part of it ! ??? ?#marryingmyers
Just before she passed away, Christina celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary with husband Lawrence, her high school sweetheart. Alyssa has shared numerous throwback photos of her mom and dad, and they are almost certain to put a smile on anyone’s face. Here are just a couple of examples:
