While Conan is out on his The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour it looks like his writers have received a green light from TBS for their own special. The special is tentatively being called Team Coco presents Conan’s Writers Live and will feature Conan staples Andy Richter and Reggie Watts. Deadline is reporting that this one-hour special will be based on a Los Angeles stage show.
The show is going to be taped on Thursday June 17th at the Bank of America Theater in Chicago. The special is scheduled to air on TBS Sunday June 27th. It will also include a musical performance by Watts who is currently opening for Conan on his tour.

Pretty cool right? I think this is a good move by TBS. Keep the embers burning in anticipation of Conan O’Brien’s return to TV. Quite a while back I put together a top ten list of skits that Conan might lose when he leaves NBC. If you have a few minutes it’s a great stroll down Conan memory lane.
