SNL VIDEO “Laser Cats 5” from Saturday Night Live with James Cameron and Sigourney Weaver
James Cameron has directed the two top grossing films of all time with Titanic and Avatar, and it looks like number three is just around the corner! Cameron premiered a digital short of his latest project for an awestruck Lorne Michaels on the January 16 episode of Saturday Night Live.
Avatar was cool and all that, but the special effects of Laser Cats 5 make that movie look like claymation from the ’70s! But don’t take my word for it, see for yourself!
WOW! Or should I say, MEOWOW! Cameron brings back Sigourney Weaver to reprise her roll from his movie Alien and she delivers a heart-wrenching performance as the gritty Ripley who mysteriously possesses a flame throwing kitty (The Cheshfire Cat?) and uses it to lead studtastic male companion Nitro (Bill Hader) through a maze of laser-faced felines straight to the nest where the killer kitties were born. But the outcome is cat-astrophic for the heroic duo. Or is it?
