Sources close to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Kim Richards said she was pushed over the edge and went back to drinking after she had to watch the recent reunion show. She was arrested early Thursday morning for the misdemeanors of trespassing, resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and being drunk in public after an incident at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Insiders told TMZ that Kim’s been under a lot of pressure lately because of her ex-husband’s cancer, personal finances, her son’s personal struggles and her daughter’s upcoming wedding. The sources said Kim was managing to walk a fine line with her sobriety until Wednesday, when she was contractually obligated to watch the reunion show so she could blog about it.
“Reliving what went down crushed her,” TMZ said. “We’re told Kim has been deeply upset over Lisa Vanderpump and Lisa Rinna. Kim believes Vanderpump had intentionally driven a wedge between her and sister Kyle Richards. On the show, Vanderpump urged them to reconcile, but Kim claims off camera Vanderpump told Kyle that Kim didn’t want her at Brooke’s wedding, which infuriated Kyle and deeply hurt Kim.”
After Kim’s arrest, some of her RHOBH costars expressed their support for her on Twitter.
I was sad to hear about Kim’s incident and I wish her and her family the best.

Kyle hasn’t directly addressed the situation, beyond telling Radar Online their story about Kyle refusing to talk to Kim after the arrest isn’t true.

In another report, Radar Online claims Bravo is showing Kim tough love by insisting she go to rehab “or else.”
“They called together all of the higher-ups because they needed to discuss Kim’s future involvement with the show,” a “well-connected insider” said. “She has now become a liability and she needs to get help.”
Kim sought treatment for her addiction issues three times before, most recently in 2011.
