The photo of Willow Smith (13), laying fully clothed in a bed with shirtless actor Moises Arias (20) caused quite a stir after it was shared, and later deleted, via Instagram earlier this month.
The pic reignited the debate over Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s laissez-faire approach to parenting and according to a recent report internet critics aren’t the only one concerned about what was depicted.
Radar is claiming that the Los Angeles Department of Children & Family Services has officially opened an investigation into the incident. Their inside source stated:
“The investigation was formally opened last week and is being taken very seriously by the department. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand. Social workers will also be talking separately with Willow, and they also want to talk to the young man in the picture with her as well. This won’t just be one or two visits with the family, and it will likely be an open investigation for at least a month, out of an abundance of caution.”
When Jada was hounded with questions about it at LAX on May 7 she said, “Here’s the deal. There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation. You guys are projecting your trash onto it. You’re acting like covert pedophiles and that’s not cool.”
