Baroness Monica Von Neumann is the latest lady to be rumored to be coming aboard for the fourth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Baroness Monica, who is being referred to as “a gorgeous and wealthy African-American socialite,” has already met and filmed for producers and has been in contact with them for over a month now which could be a good sign that she will be cast.

“Producers for the hit Bravo show approached the Baroness Monica Von Neumann and brought her in for a meeting in February,” Radar Online reports, “and as per usual in Hollywood, they put her on tape and asked her a number of questions to get a feel for her personality.” The so-called “Hollywood royal” could be just what producers are looking for to fill the empty slot left by Adrienne Maloof. She’s powerful, she’s wealthy, and she’s got the look.

A source close to the situation tells Radar, “It went really well. She had them cracking up. The producers asked about her past, where she lived, and why she’s a Baroness. They appear to really love the idea of having her on the show.” So far, Baroness Monica hasn’t heard back from producers, but since they are looking for a big name and someone affluent in the community, she appears to fit the bill. This could mean that fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be getting their first royal Housewife.

So how did this woman, born Monica Ford, become a member of royalty? It was actually because of Sonny Bono. Sonny introduced Baroness Monica to wealthy Austrian Baron John von Neumann in the 80’s and the two later wed. The Baron was the first importer of Volkswagens to the U.S., and son of the doctor to the King of England and Spain. It was a true fairy tale for Monica who was born into a working class family in Detroit.

Tragically, Baroness Monica lost her husband to cancer in 2003. Since then, she’s re-invented herself into a businesswoman, creating luxurious items that can be accessible to everyone. A source tells Radar that Baroness Monica intends on becoming the “black Martha Stewart.”
