The Shahs of Sunset‘s “Persian Barbie” is now a “Pregnant Persian Barbie” as former star Lilly Ghalichi Mir announces she is expecting her first child with husband Dara Mir!
The 34-year-old reality star, entrepreneur, beauty mogul and attorney shared the news on Instagram on Sunday with a photo showing off her baby bump — and her handsome hubby:
“Baby (and Daddy’s lol) first makeup party!! ??” Lilly captioned the photo. “Thrilled to announce my husband and I are expecting our first child ?”
Lilly then reflected on her life in the public eye, and reveals that her fans will not be excluded from her pregnancy journey and her motherhood adventure. “I have shared so many different stages of my life with you all, from starting my first business, to being on a television show, heartbreaks, finding my true love- and now, I get to share the most special chapter of all with you, motherhood,” she wrote.
After her initial announcement, Lilly shared a series of maternity photos (above) that make the “Pregnant Persian Barbie” nickname seem like anything but a joke. In a tight fitting gold velvet dress, Lilly’s growing bump can be clearly seen on her famously thin frame as she captioned the photos with her reflections on womanhood and equality:
Pregnancy is the most profound experience and has shown me the true strength of women. ❤️ For Women to be treated as anything but equal, and having a girl desired any less than having a boy is completely ridiculous given that women are the creators of all life, and sacrifice so much for the lives they create. I can only hope my daughters will live in a World one day where women everywhere are respected and valued equally as men.
