PHOTOS Pregnant Kate Winslet glowingly perfect at Labor Day Premiere
Method acting is one thing, but Kate Winslet seems to have taken it to a whole new level with her new film Labor Day! The very pregnant Winslet is due to have her own “labor day” in just a few weeks, but that hasn’t stopped her from promoting her new movie and walking the red carpet at the 57th London Film Festival Premiere of Labor Day at the Odeon Leicester Square.
The 38-year-old expectant mom showed off her sizable baby bump in a brilliant red Jenny Packham dress, finishing off the look with De Beers jewelry and shoes and bag by Christian Louboutin.
Kate was also in attendance at a pre-screening photocall event where she talked about her young Labor Day co-star, 14-year-old Gattlin Griffith, who plays her son in the film:
The film actually has nothing to do with pregnancy, but is based on the novel Labor Day by Joyce Maynard that tells the story of Adele (played by Kate Winslet) and her son Henry (Gattlin Griffith) who are clothes shopping when “they encounter a large, fearsome man (played by Josh Brolin) who is bleeding badly, and against all judgment, they give him a ride to their home,” according to Wikipedia. “The injured man is in fact is an escaped convict from the local prison, and as the police search narrows, the mother and son gradually learn his true story and their options become more and more limited.”
Here is the Labor Day preview clip by itself:
Labor Day is scheduled for a limited release in the United States on Christmas Day. Kate Winslet’s baby, on the other hand, is scheduled for release in just a few weeks! 😉
