PHOTOS Pamela Anderson ran the New York City marathon, raised $75,000 for Haiti relief
Pamela Anderson completed the New York City ING Marathon this weekend with the help of brother Gerry Anderson and a high-impact sports bra.
The 46-year-old finished the race with a time of 5:41:03, which works out to be just more than 13 minutes per mile. She also raised $75,914 for J/P Haitian Relief Organization. (Although she initially set a goal of $500,000, the amount she actually raised is undeniably impressive!)
We all know Pamela is capable of jogging… Just look at the opening credits for Baywatch for a glimpse of the busty blonde melodramatically running to the rescue. Still, you’ve got to hand it to her for finishing the long race.
After thanking her supporters, Pamela spent the rest of Sunday in recovery mode.
Before the race, Pamela admitted this was a step outside of her comfort zone.
“Running the marathon is definitely one of the crazier things I’ve done in my career,” she told ESPN. “When I finish the race, whatever people’s perceptions of me, this is what I’ve done for a great cause, hopefully inspiring others to do things like this.”
