Adam Richman Weight Loss

Long gone are the days of Adam Richman scarfing down 4.5 pounds of steak on Man v. Food — and since retiring from food challenges in 2012, the Travel Channel star has dropped 60 pounds.

“I’m very proud of that, so if you got it, you flaunt it,” he joked to Zap2It upon losing 40 of those pounds in 2012.

He shed the additional 20 over the course of the last year by following a cleaner diet that includes Greek yogurt, raw nuts and lots of water. Still, the 39-year-old television personality revealed to People Magazine that he hasn’t totally lost a taste for the burgers, pizzas and hot wings he used to enjoy.

“The crew got a bunch of pizzas, and it was all I could smell… It sucked,” he said of one recent experience. Fortunately, the same will-power Adam used to employ during food challenges helped him satisfy his cravings with healthier options.

Even though Adam’s Twitter biography says he is “quite done with food challenges, thank you,” he is thankful for the opportunities Man v. Food allowed him.

Adam now hosts Adam Richman’s Fandemonium, which takes him on a mission “to find the craziest super fans, culinary creations and cultural experiences at the wildest fan gatherings across the nation.” That show airs on the Travel Channel Sunday nights at 9/8c.
