PHOTOS Giada de Laurentiis’ new house is looking good
Giada de Laurentiis may have just gone through a costly divorce, but her swanky new digs say that everything is just fine. Giada’s 5,000+ square foot pad is just around the block from her old home, and has a rich musical history…plus a dynamite kitchen, and grand views.
Giada, a resident of Pacific Palisaides CA during her marriage, has apparently decided to stay in the neighborhood. Her post-divorce home is in the Riviera area of the neighborhood, and is a 1920s Spanish estate reminiscent of Hollywood’s silent movie era. Though there’s nothing silent about one of the house’s former owners: jazz great and big band conductor Benny Goodman used to live in the house. In fact, the property’s guest house is kitted out with a full recording studio–though the realtor’s listing notes that the space would still “be perfect for a home office or guests.”
What are the specs on Giada de Laurentiis’ new home? It’s a five-bed, five-and-a-half bath edifice on a 13,255 square-foot lot. As for the details, let the listing take you there:
From the moment you walk into circular entry you are surrounded by the home’s stunning features including high ceilings & beams, original windows, wood burning fireplaces, mosaic tile, detailed molding, wrought iron accents, delicate light fixtures, and gorgeous hardwood floors. The kitchen features top of the line appliances and the home has built-in speakers throughout. Master suite has large walk-in closet & bathroom w/heated floors. Large, secondary bedrooms are en-suite.
Well–words are fine, but what does the place actually look like? Here’s a tour:
As for the price, the house was listed for $6.195 milllion. Fortunately for the new homeowner, there’s a new Giada de Laurentiis cookbook, entitled Happy Cooking, coming out this fall–and a whole batch of forthcoming tour dates to support it.
