My heart about dropped on the floor along with all the Dorito and Krispy Kreme crumbs when I came across these photos of Big Love’s Daveigh Chase leaving a party on a scooter. I loved me some Big Love and I have thought the world of Daveigh ever since I first saw her on screen as Roman Grant’s 16-year-old bride to be Rhonda Volmer.
I was reminded of Natalie Portman’s iconic character in The Garden State when I took in the full awesomeness of Daveigh rocking a helmet, a short skirt and a freaking cool looking scooter as she left the Bardot Nightclub after attending a Nylon Magazine party in Hollywood last night. This is how you make an exit and it is also how you increase an already unhealthy crush!

Daveigh, who also starred in The Ring and will appear in the upcoming psychological thriller Prettyface, has cool black boots, riding gloves, a faded denim jacket, a righteous cherry-red Sachs scooter and in the background is a parked BMW that seems cheap in comparison as Miss Chase stares off into the yonder.
On John Mellencamp’s great new release No Better Than This there’s a line from the song “Love At First Sight” that goes, “I believe in love at first sight. So there I said it good night.” Man, I know exactly what he’s singing about when I saw this photo:
Daveigh Chase, you are awesome and so is your scooter! For those of you who aren’t familiar with her work here is one of the best three or four scenes from the entire run of Big Love in my opinion as her character Rhonda sings (it is Chase singing) the song “The Happiest Girl in the Whole U.S.A.”
