The cast of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunited over the weekend, and actor Alfonso Ribeiro (aka Carlton Banks) posted a rather touching photo of the moment on Fresh Princetagram. “Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family,” Alfonso captioned the photo, included at the top of this post. “Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete.”
Alfonso’s co-star Tatyana Ali (Ashley Banks) also shared the photo and captioned it by writing “A wonderful afternoon today with family. We miss you James ❤️. #karynparsons #msdaphne13 #freshprince #freshprinceofbelair #nobumalibu #nobu #jamesavery #josephmarcell #willsmith #sweetblackberry
James Avery, who played Uncle Phil, passed away after complications from heart surgery in 2013.
Included in the photo, from left to right, are Tatyana Ali, Alfonso Ribeiro, Karyn Parsons (Hilary Banks), Will Smith, Daphne Maxwell Reid (Aunt Vivian Banks) and Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey the Butler).
