David Beckham escorted the Olympic flame from Greece to England yesterday, and posted on Facebook this photo of himself riding with the flame on a plane (note the flames got the window seats.)
To commemorate the flame’s arrival in England, Beckham lit a cauldron on the tarmac, and then lit a torch. The flame flies again to Land’s End, where it will light a torch that will be carried by 8,000 people across Britain.
The flame was lit May 10 from the rays of the sun by parabolic mirror in a ceremony at Olympic Greece.
