PHOTO Nick Cannon defends use of whiteface to promote album
Nick Cannon has taken the “comedic appropriation of racial stereotypes” angle in hopes of drumming up some interest in his upcoming release White People Party Music. He’s done this by donning whiteface and taking on the persona of a generic Pauly Shore-like fictional character named Connor Smallnut.
He captioned the above pic posted to Instagram, “It’s official… I’m White!!! #WHITEPEOPLEPARTYMUSIC #Wppm in stores April 1st!!!!!!Dude Go Get It!!!Join The Party!!!! #GoodCredit #DogKissing #BeerPong #FarmersMarkets #FistPumping #CreamCheeseEating #RacialDraft “Bro I got drafted!!”
Nick got some backlash with the idea but it hasn’t hampered his spirit as he’s stuck with his Smallnut scheming.
Here’s some of his reactions via Twitter:
“Brothas just trying to keep a white man down!” Power to the people LOL

Nick then used the Robert Downey Jr. in blackface for the comedy Tropic Thunder defense when he wrote, “Shout out to @RobertDowneyJr This is one of my favorite characters of all time! Hilarious!!! There is a big difference between Humor and Hatred.”
And here’s some moving pictures and audio of Smallnut on the streets:
