Patrick Swayze’s widow, Lisa Niemi, weds jeweler Albert DePrisco

Writer, director, actress and dancer Lisa Niemi is a Mrs. again!

Niemi, the widow of Patrick Swayze, wed jeweler Albert DePrisco yesterday in Palm Beach, Florida.

The 57-year-old told People just a few days before the ceremony:

“What I most look forward to on my wedding day is walking up, standing at our altar, and looking into his most incredible, twinkling eyes. I cannot think of a bigger treat than that.”

How often does lighting strike twice? Albert, & I just married today. An incredible, wonderful, joyous day for both of us.

Lisa recently shared a long passage about falling in love on her blog via her official website. In part she wrote:

So, why would I embark on falling in love again after having been brought to my knees, pummeled into gritty bits and left for dead already by love? Where in holy hell do I find that courage? To even date, let only fall in love? I mean, people think I’m brave because I work with horses, fly an airplane, and other things. Phooey! Bravery is daring to fall in love. It’s far more dangerous. And yet, here I find myself again, loving, caring. It’s scary to walk on air. It takes . . . trust.

Lisa lost her husband of 34 years when Patrick Swayze succumbed to pancreatic cancer in September of 2009.
