We weren’t surprised at all about the announcement of a third season as we’ve posted numerous reports about the original Teen Moms Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout, and Catelynn Lowell that included MTV cameras in tow. But the fact that the network has “greenlit” a 4th season as well shows just how popular this franchise is.
MTV knows they have a hit on their hands and it should be compelling to have the opportunity to follow our girls as they continue in motherhood while balancing the new found and overwhelming fame that is accompanying the show.
The announcement coincided with the National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy and the campaign over at itsyoursexlife.org that both are hoping to help young girls make educated decisions about their sex lives. As part of this campaign the four original Teen Moms have filmed PSAs that are rolling out on the network.
Here is a sample of one of the public service announcements in which our girls discuss how much they wish they would have just cuddled (or at least used protection) on the night they got pregnant instead of, well you know:
