Mob Wives land 2nd season, reunion show
All aboard the Staten Island reality ferry because our hard-core girls Renee Graziano, Karen Gravano, Drita D’avanzo and Carla Facciolo have been re-upped by VH1 for a second season of the popular docu-soap Mob Wives.
The ratings have been solid and the drama has been gloriously over the top for the show that follows the lives of four women connected via husband or father to the mafia. These ladies tell it straight and don’t take no sh!t, hell Drita(r) D’avanzo got friends fired from their radio gig for dropping about 200 too many F-Bombs!
In addition to an upcoming second season the network has scheduled a Housewives style reunion show that is set to air on Sunday, July 10. It should be a good one in light of the physical altercation between Karen and Drita while filming the finale that left Renee cut and bleeding. A big wig with the network said of the show:
“Our viewers have connected passionately with these women and their unique, authentic stories in the realms of pop culture and music. We’re very happy to be able continue those story lines.”
The music reference is for another renewed show, Love and Hip Hop.
The girls are obviously excited about the news. Here’s what Renee had to tweet about it to her minimemobsters:
Mob Wives has been averaging well over a million viewers for each episode of its premiere run. The 2nd season is slated for the fall with 12 episodes ordered. You know, I heard New York City is beautiful in the fall especially with some random MW beat downs thrown in the mix!
