19 Kids and Counting‘s Michelle Duggar revealed she and husband Jim Bob Duggar are actively trying to expand their family — for the 20th time.
“I would be so grateful if the Lord blessed us with another one. We’re trying at this point and we shall see if that is a possibility,” the prolific mother told Celebrity Baby Scoop.
Less than two years ago, Michelle and Jim Bob suffered a miscarriage during her second trimester.
Michelle’s previous pregnancy was also traumatic: After dealing with pre-eclampsia, Michelle delivered baby Josie at only 25 weeks. Despite weighing less than two pounds at birth, the three-year-old is now thriving.

With a more advanced maternal age and such complications during her previous two pregnancies, it’s even less likely 47-year-old Michelle could conceive or carry a child to full-term. In the case that another pregnancy isn’t meant to be, Michelle said she and 49-year-old Jim Bob will be fine.
“We are so thankful and grateful for the ones that God has given us so far. We are also definitely enjoying our grandbabies! They are so precious,” Michelle said of her oldest son’s three children. Plus, if things continue to go well with daughter Jessa’s courtship, there may be more grandchildren in the near future!
