Miami Social Season 1 Final Episode Recap With Video Clips

Maria had a discussion with Michael where she disclosed that she wanted to start having fun (sex) more often and that part of that would mean dating people. So, she goes on a lunch date and unfortunately we get to tag along. Joseph is of the wealthy and tan Miami ilk, but the date gets off to a rough start when Maria delivers the backhanded compliment, “You look good in the daylight.” Maria then share her most recent photo of her 13-year-old daughter, taken when she was eight. Talking about her daughter and realizing she’s on a date with a guy she doesn’t really like seems to make Maria a little sad.

The televised portion of the lunch date had to last well over three hours, involving such excrutiating dialog as:

Maria: I like the wall.
Jason: Nice wall.

Maria: I’m moving um-
Joseph: (same time): You com- sorry
Maria: What? Go ahead.
Joseph: You go.
Maria: No, go ahead.
Joseph: No, you go ahead.
Maria: No, seriously, you go ahead.
Joseph: I was gonna say, do you come here a lot? To this restaurant?
Maria: (shakes her head)
Joseph: I like it here.

If I wanted to watch that kind of drama I’d strap a camcorder to the napkin dispenser at Applebee’s. Maria later confirmed to us and her date that things weren’t going well during the consumption of one of the appetizers, “Oh my god, those are with onions. No kissing today, sorry.” Actually, Joseph must have missed the subtle hint because later, as they parted ways, he did try to kiss her on the mouth.

Michael has decided to get a hair transplant to fix his “yarmulke” bald spot, partly because of the sage advice offered to him by a friend over the phone, “Life’s too short to be bald.” He visits the doctor and we all get to learn what’s involved with getting a hair transplant, which in Michael’s case means cutting 2600 little holes in his head and inserting 2-3 of his hairs into each one. This show is absolutely determined to make tedious the new fascinating!
