Director, actor, screenwriter, playwright, producer, songwriter and author Tyler Perry is going to be a dad!
The man behind the Madea film franchise and his girlfriend of 5 years, Gelila Bekele, are expecting according to a source with Us.
Perry announced the good news at his 45th birthday bash in Atlanta Monday night. “They are overjoyed and really, really happy. He was so happy in the moment so he told the guests,” the source said adding that Bekele was about 7 months along.
Perry broke the news to a room full of close friends and family members including Jennifer Holliday and LeAnn Rimes. Closing out the big night, none other than Stevie Wonder serenaded Perry with a version of Happy Birthday.
