Lady GaGa goes drag, meet her male alter-ego Jo Calderone
Lady Gaga may not be a hermaphrodite, but she does look good as a man.
The pop queen moonlighted in drag as a male model during a photo-shoot for Vogue Hommes Japan. Her alter ego is named Jo Calderone, which is a play on her legal name, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, and is also, as noted by ABC News, an anagram for Alejandro (with a couple extra letters).
A few are been skeptical that Calderone really is GaGa, but the evidence is mounting and at this point it’s undeniable.There is the play on words with the name, the profiles look strikingly similar, and Perez Hilton, who often refers to Lady Gaga as “wifey,” tweeted a photo of Calderone calling him his “hubby.” That’s ironclad evidence if there ever was any.
Gaga’s stylist Nicola Formichetti also tweeted and posted the photo to her blog, sparking more interest into the androgynous image. Notice how the shirt bunches in the boob area.
