Kim’s sober, but still fighting sister Kyle Richards on RHOBH’s Season 3
Kim Richards may be sober during Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 3, but that doesn’t mean that she and her sister, Kyle Richards, are getting along any better and during episode 1 which airs tonight on Bravo, the sisters waste no time getting into it over Kyle’s invite to her daughter Portia’s 4th birthday party.
On the episode, Kyle wants her sister Kim to come to Portia’s birthday party, but Kim is hesitant because she doesn’t want to leave her own kids. When Kyle suggests she bring them, Kim claims that they wouldn’t want to come. “My sisters and I get a little overly sensitive when it comes to things like that,” Kyle explains to NY Daily News. “Because we always try to be at everything, especially for one of the kids’ things.
“Because I don’t have my mom anymore, I really want my sisters there and my nieces and nephews,” she adds. “So my feelings get hurt, and I get mad for a little bit. Then I get over it. And Kim really does usually always show up and support me and my children, I have to say.”
“Our relationship has been really touch and go, which is better than it was before the show, actually,” Kyle says. “Because we were really not getting along well. There was a lot of passive-aggressiveness between the two of us.”
Kyle may have expected a complete turn around with her relationship with Kim when she got sober, but it has proven to take more time. However, Kyle says they are definitely heading in the right direction. “Since the show, and [since] all of Kim’s issues have come out, it’s actually helped our relationship. We’re still working on it every day.”
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight Kim says that she’s still sober, and that it’s working “very well.”
She told ET “I feel really good. Drinking wasn’t something that was working very well for me. Not drinking is working very well for me. I’m enjoying my life, I’m enjoying my friends.”
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 3 debuts tonight at 9/8c on Bravo.
