Kim Zolciak’s mom files for visitation rights to see her four grandchildren
Kim Zolciak recently gave birth to her fourth child, a son with husband Kroy Biermann. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star and her Atlanta Falcons hubby have another son together and Kim has two older children from a previous marriage. As family-oriented as Kim and Kroy may seem to be, Kim’s mother Karen claims Kim has been keeping her grandchildren from her.
According to TMZ, Karen Zolciak filed a petition for visitation in Georgia’s Superior Court earlier this morning. In the petition, Karen claims she used to hang out with her two granddaughters all the time, baking cookies, making ice cream sundaes, and even going to the Bahamas for Christmas. However, as Karen claims, things changed after Kim got her own spin-off, Don’t Be Tardy For The Wedding.
Karen claims that she was portrayed as a bad person on the show in order to create a drama-filled story line between her and her daughter Kim. During the much-anticipated wedding episode, Karen was even seen getting thrown out of Kim’s wedding by police for using an inside bathroom instead of the designated port-a-potties. On the show, it was a little more dramatic than that, with Karen threatening to burn down the house if she couldn’t go inside.
Karen, who hasn’t even met Kim’s youngest son Kash Kade, claims that if her grandchildren don’t get to see her regularly they could suffer “emotional or physical harm.” Karen also says that “the girls live such a crazy, abnormal life being on T.V … they need a normal haven to relax.”
A judge has yet to rule on Karen’s petition.
Kim Zolciak is currently filming Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s fifth season.
