CUTE: Keira Knightley recycles dress for wedding to James Righton
Keira Knightley married James Righton, of the London rave band Klaxon Sunday morning, and in a charming twist she wore an old dress she wore back in 2008!
THe actress (28) topped off her cute, flirty tulle Rodarte with a Chanel jacket and she wore a daisy-chain in her hair. She and her keyboardist husband (29) were photographed holding hands while leaving the Mazan Town Hall where the ceremony was performed.
US Weekly spoke to someone who attended what sounds like an adorable wedding: “It was a very moving ceremony,” the source says. “Keira looked emotional during the whole thing. She cried when they exchanged their vows but was still smiling.”
After the wedding, the newlyweds got into a beat-up silver Renault Clio to ride away to their honeymoon.
Keira, who previously dated Rupert Friend for five years, went public with James April 2011, and he proposed almost exactly a year ago.
Recycling a dress you already have for your wedding day sounds like a lovely idea (and an economical one, but honestly, how many people have a Rodarte in their closet?) What do you think of Keira’s decision to wear an old dress on her wedding day? Should more brides follow suit?
