Joseph Gordon-Levitt pumped, Scarlett Johansson channels Drita D’Avanzo in “Don Jon” trailer

Joseph Gordon-Levitt cut for Don Jon role

Joseph Gordon-Levitt wrote, directed and stars in the upcoming film Don Jon, which received overall positive reviews when it premiered at Sundance. Oh yeah, the cute, affable, ukelele playing guy went and got himself pumped while he was at it!

The first trailer for the film features Joseph along with co-stars Scarlett Johansson, Tony Danza and Julianne Moore. The main character of the film, Jon Martello (Gordon-Levitt), explains with a thick Jersey accent that he loves just a few things: his body, car, family, girls, his boys, his church and porn.

There’s an emphasis on that last preoccupation as it’s hinted it could be a possible addiction until this gets challenged when he meets Barbara (Johansson).

Tony Danza looks to be a great cast decision as the father and I have to admit, when JGL’s buffed Situationesque character gets busted rocking out to Marky Mark’s “Good Vibrations,” it had me laughing.

One other thing really blew my mind after watching this a few times and that was just how much Scarlett Johansson reminded me of Mob Wives star Drita D’Avanzo. I wasn’t alone, as Drita pointed out that thousands of fans mentioned the similarities via Twitter and her Facebook page.

Here’s what I’m freakin’ talking about!

Scarlett Johansson Drita D'Avanzo Don Jon

I hope someone asks Joseph or Scarlett about how much the character looks and displays the mannerisms of D’Avanzo. It might be more than just a coincidence.
