Jenn Sterger, the woman at the heart of the current Brett Favre penis pics scandal, showed  appreciation for her supporters via Twitter.

The Favre penis pics story that started via Deadspin has exploded into a full blown national media event.  ESPN’s long time insider Chris Mortensen ran an article stating that the allegations made against future Hall of Fame QB Brett Farve were under a fast track investigation by the NFL.  This flipped the story from online innuendo to a verified NFL-investigation-worthy situation.

Jenn Sterger, who reportedly received the pics as well as voice mails from the Vikings QB, is not the source who provided Deadspin with the material and has remained quiet about the controversy   At the time of the purported sexting Sterger was an employee of the New York Jets during the lone year in which Favre was a member of the team.  Favre has been directly asked about the allegations but has refused to answer or deny them, further fueling the flames of the scandal.

A story this big has to weigh on the mind of Sterger as she attempts to continue her career in sports.  She currently works for the Versus network as a host of a show called The Daily Line.  The extremely photogenic sportscaster took to her Twitter account to show her thanks for all the support she has received while this controversy has unfolded.  Sterger tweeted:

The more tight lipped Favre gets the bigger this story becomes.  I’m sure Sterger is ready to get the whole thing behind her and move on with her life and career.
