Is Magnolia House open? Chip and Joanna announce new dates for Fixer Upper B&B
Is Magnolia House open? Fans of the official Fixer Upper B&B have been clamoring for a chance to stay inside Chip and Joanna’s elaborate home ever since it opened, to great fanfare, late last year. In fact, the Magnolia House givewaway that HGTV tied in with the Fixer Upper Season 3 was so popular, the site that the network set up to handle requests suffered numerous crashes, and the house sold out of available dates faster than anyone involved with its creation expected!
Fortunately for the Gaines’ many devoteés, new dates are about to become available for booking! Magnolia House goes live with its first batch of 2017 dates this coming Thursday, August 18th, at 7 PM CST. Given the Gaines’ massive popularity, their calendar is expected to fill quickly; in order to give yourself a leg up when booking Magnolia House, here’s what you’ll need to know beforehand:
-Booking at Magnolia House means you’re reserving the entire house. (There’s been some confusion on this point in the past.) The price seems exorbitantly high until you realize you’re paying for a whole house, not just one room 😉
-The house sleeps eight (8) people. Bring your seven best friends, get eight times the photographs, and pay 12.5% of the total bill!
-Check-in is at 4 PM; check-out is at 12 noon; and there’s no checking in on Sunday. If you want to try and sneak in at the end of the weekend, you’ll have to make it a Saturday arrival.
-It’s a two (2)-night minimum stay.
-You can only make reservations online: no telephonic bookings.
-Magnolia House is located in beautiful (and quiet) McGregor TX, about a 20-mile trip from the Magnolia Market silos in downtown Waco.
You can book an early 2017 stay at the Magnolia House–that’s for dates beginning on January 1 and ending on July 2nd–by visiting the official site here.
