French Montana tweet to ‘musty crusty dusty rusty @ss hoe with them nappy @ss poetic justice braids’ deemed racist by some

French Montana racist tweets

Rapper French Montana is in a bit of hot water after a woman laughed on Twitter at the notion “that French Montana thinks anyone cares about him” and he responded with an aggressive, derogatory, and some think racist tweet calling the black woman who posted the tweet a “musty crusty dusty rusty @ss hoe with them nappy @ss poetic justice braids.”

Here’s the full tweet that started it all from @artdecoxxx (aka chill bill):

Ol Frenchie must a have a soft spot when it comes to folks openly joking about people not caring about him because he UNLEASHED on chill bill with a brutal tirade that required some pixelation on our part to keep it SFW: French Montana racist tweet U musty crusty dusty rusty ass hoe With them nappy ass poetic justice braids take your cum drinking Dick banging ass somewhere n be humble French’s comments were perceived by many as being racist. (You might recall that radio host Don Imus lost his job for using the very similar phrasing “nappy-headed hos” to describe black members of the Rutgers women’s basketball team in 2007.) The responses did not deter French, however, and he doubled down on his comments in response — pointing out that he was born in Africa (Casablanca, Morocco to be exact) and that his mother is black. Here are his interactions on Twitter: FRENCH: How people get mad at u for draging somebody that tried to drag u ? TWEETER: ….You are anti black. FRENCH: My son is black, and I was born in africa I lived there for 13 years I ain’t no punching bag, and I don’t discriminate !don’t come for me ? TWEETER: I see nothing wrong with what French Montana did. Maybe her black nappy headed @ss shouldn’t have been talking sh!t. FRENCH: Lol FRENCH: My mother is african queen and I was married to a beautiful black queen All I did was defend myself if I affended anybody I apologize FRENCH: But this is a perfect example of even when u defending yourself and minding your Business social media would drag your name thru the mud ‼️ FRENCH: But on another note #STAYWOKE French Montana then showed off his mad marketing skills by using the controversy to promote his new single “Unforgettable” featuring Swae Lee. French’s brilliant segue included a long entry about his mother, who is featured on the single’s artwork in the form of a wedding photo alongside French’s dad: French Montana's mother and father wedding photo French’s caption:

The picture of my mother and father at their wedding in Africa is my favorite picture. It’s unforgettable for so many reasons since it was the same year I was born and the same year my father was incarcerated for unfortunate circumstances. He named me from jail. After he was released, we were granted US visas and in 1996 I went on my first plane to go to America. I didn’t know any English. It was tough because I thought we were moving into the high rises of NYC, but we ended up in the back streets of the South Bronx lol. It was still better than back home in Morocco, but my father had a hard time and wanted to move back. My mother knew we couldn’t because there weren’t any opportunities there and she sacrificed a lot for us to survive in the states. We were on welfare and she worked overtime to keep us fed, clothed and a roof over our heads. I promised my mother that I would hustle and make my accomplishments unforgettable once I found my opportunity. I want other people who might be struggling to know that the sky is not the limit… You can do unforgettable things, so I present to you my single “Unforgettable”. Feat @swaelee

So what would French’s mother think of his comments? My guess is that she would say “Pardon my French.” Yes, I was waiting for the whole post for that punchline. 🙂 I should point out that French Montana did win the initial battle in that @artdecoxxx’s tweet about people not caring what he thinks was obviously wrong given how much attention has been given to French’s response.
